Global Network Security Engineer

As a Global Network Security Engineer, you will:

• Review existing network security setup and configuration
• Recommend ‘security hardening’ of network devices’ security configuration. Network devices will include and may not be limited firewall, routers, switches and wireless access points(WAPs) installed throughout the Firm
• Review new installations of network devices ensuring that all devices follow standard network security protocols and policies
• Monitor Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS) and ensure that the Firm is secure on a day-to-day basis
• In case of intrusions, utilize available tools and technologies and work with 3rd-party service providers as required to understand intrusion and recommend remedial setup, configuration and processes to prevent a re-occurrence of the same incident
• Conduct periodic audit of security-related setup and processes and recommend remediation as necessary
• Works closely with the Global Operations Senior Manager to recommend corporate security policies to govern installations of devices and equipment prior to connection to the Firm network
• May from time to time be involved, as a resource person for mobile device security management

For you to be successful in this role, you will need:

• Experience in managing and performing administration of a multi-site wide area networks
• Experience maintaining and monitoring Cisco Routers and Switches, preferably with CCNP/CCSP certification
• Experience or training in handling network forensics – being able to understand security breaches and re-create them based on logs and debug tools
• Experience in monitoring and/or implementation of Security Technologies in a Microsoft Active Directory, Virtualized and Cisco environment, preferably at a medium to large size organization
• In-depth knowledge of Cisco platform PIX, ASA, NAC, wireless Infrastructure, routers, and switches
• Knowledge of Intrusion Detection and Prevention principles as they relate to
• Strong understanding of security technologies such as encryption, ingress/egress filtering, electronic hygiene, etc
• Strong understanding of network technologies such as TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, WINS, LDAP, IP routing, VPN, etc
• CCNA, CCNP, GIAC, CISSP, ISC2, Cisco CCIE, Microsoft Certification, a plus
• Must have excellent communications skills, customer service skills, follow-up skills and organizational skills
