An Application Support Specialist to provide second line software support to our internal users on a variety of bespoke in-house software applications. These are written using a combination of Microsoft and Java based technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Undertake email and telephone-based support of all bespoke in-house applications. The role would not require direct support of standard off the shelf applications like Word or Excel.
- If necessary document software faults and track to resolution, liaising with the testers and developers where necessary.
- Expand and update the library of user documentation for all applications.
- Liaise with the (first-line) help desk to help them understand the major applications and coordinate a seamless customer support offering, particularly around software releases.
- User Account Management (following documented procedures).
Kualifikasi Minimum
- Experienced with remote desktop control tools for diagnosing problems such as Netop, Netmeeting, etc.
- Knowledge of XML data files and their manipulation.
- Ability to write simple SQL database queries.
