About the role
CoreData is seeking a detail-oriented and self-directed Junior Web Developer who will play a key role in maintenance and improvements to existing and new web platforms and support CoreData’s data collection activities.
This Manila-based full-time role is best suited to candidates with 2+ years of web development.
Working with a team in Manila and supporting client managers in Australia, London and Boston, you will have the opportunity to be part of the exciting next phase of CoreData, building new research technologies.

What you’ll be doing
You’ll join the team develops and maintains all of CoreData’s digital capabilities. This involves:
- Provide maintenance and improvements to existing and new web platforms and support CoreData’s data collection activities.
- Deliver frontend and backend development to all CoreData’s web infrastructure
- Help plan, design, and implement new development projects as requested
- Work with web designers to deliver effective and attractive web interfaces
- Assist in creating and improvement of templates for online surveys
- Provide emergency response to downtime events and be accountable for service uptime
- Other technical tasks in the service of CoreData’s web infrastructure

Kualifikasi Minimum
What you’ll bring to the role
- Bachelor's/College Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology, Web Development, Programming, or any related course.
- Experience with software development and user experience
- Experience with code versioning and continuous integration systems
- Experience with software development testing and testing automation
- Experience with backend development, mainly PHP or Python is preferred
- Experience with frontend development, HTML5, CSS3, Javascript
- At least 2 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position
- Required Skill(s): PHP, Code Igniter, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Laravel
- Strong analytical and planning skills
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
