Clinic Nurse  

JOB SUMMARY

A staff nurse possesses the nursing skills, knowledge and attitude enabling him/her to perform nursing procedures through the use of sound nursing principles and following the specific nursing protocols of the center.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensures general nursing care to client-patients in the center by performing best practice nursing procedures through the application of local and international nursing principles; interprets and upholds policies and procedures as determined by the administrative body.
• Facilitates various operations and practices in the center by preparing equipment and aiding physician during treatments and examination of patients, notifying nurse-manager or physician of patients' condition and reaction to drugs, treatments and significant incident, carrying out doctor’s and manager's orders, coordinating tasks with other staff members, etc.
• Learns to use equipment and instruments and to perform operating procedures peculiar to assigned unit.
• Perform other related tasks assigned from time to time such as billing patients, making inventory of supplies, engaging in preventive maintenance of equipment, updating of charts and patient’s records, making purchases and requisitions, etc.
• Accomplishes quarterly inventory of equipment.
• Assists patients and staff in inter-unit concerns.
• Oversees the cleanliness and orderliness of the equipment and related areas.
• Attends center staff meetings.
• Reports to the nurse-manager concerns that arise in the operation of the center.
• Performs other duties as may be delegated by his/her superiors.

• Candidate must possess a Professional License (Passed Board/Bar/Professional License Exam), Nursing
• At least one (1) year of clinic nursing experience is an advantage but not exclusively required
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
• Excellent organizational, prioritization and interpersonal skills.
• Skills/Training Required: IV therapy certification
