Digital Marketing Specialist  

Comparakeet is looking for someone to oversee our linkbuilding efforts for multiple websites. You will be tasked with finding our strongest pieces of content (articles, reviews, guides, and infographics) and improving them dramatically. Then, you will take those pieces of content and reach out to other websites (or through other platforms such as FB, Insta, Reddit) in order to generate links from strong, high authority domains pointing back to our websites. This will require a significant amount of outreach which means emails back and forth with potential leads and clients.

We will be training you in our processes for building these links. After we have trained you and we feel that you have the hang of the job, we will be looking to train you in other SEO best practices so that you have the ability to manage an entire SEO team down the line. For now though, you will be our first marketing hire so there is a lot of room for growth.

Required Qualifications:

• Near Native Level of American English. This is non-negotiable. We are going to be asking you written questions as well as a live interview. Please do not waste our time if you are not very confident in your English skills. This is by far the most important skill we are looking for. If you speak fantastic English but possess no other skills then you should still apply, we want to train you! :)
• Fast Learner. Even if you already think you know SEO and linkbuilding...You don't. You are going to be asked to learn a lot of different disciplines at the same time. The education is extremely interesting and highly useful for any future jobs that you may look for.
• In-Depth Researcher (Very Organized). Half of the job will be research. Whether it's keyword research or topical research for a content piece or product research for accuracy, you are going to be doing a lot of research and if you are not very well organized then this will be a tough job for you.

Recommended Qualifications

• Outreach Social. This is a hard skill to explain and not required but basically it would be great if you could show personality in your writing. We are looking for someone who is going to have to communicate with other people and ask for links which websites are not likely to give. Being personable helps that task a lot.
• SEO Understanding. If you know nothing about this it's fine, we will train you, but I highly recommend you read Moz's beginners guide to SEO before speaking to us.
• Analytics Experience. It would be great if you used some sort of analytics tool such as Google Analytics, Google Web Console, AHREFs, MOZ, etc.
