Information Infrastructure Manager | IT  

IT infrastructure managers are responsible for all IT systems within a company, including hardware, software, and security systems. Mainly responsible for ensuring that all systems are optimized.

Responsibilities:

• Oversees all aspects of IT department operationsincluding IT infrastructure, Communication (LAN, WAN, email, etc.), database, backup recovery, regulatory compliance.
• Manages the day-to-day operations of the IT groupincluding downtime, reporting service levels, defining, and tracking IToperational metrics and provides status to management.
• Manages overall capacity utilization of Server/hardwareenvironment ensuring it is optimized to meet business requirements.
• Assists the project manager in developing projectscope, cost, resources, impact, and schedule.
• Collaborates with the test team to create and execute system test plans, user acceptance testing, and rollout.
• Assists the development team to develop technical specifications.
• Performs production support activities, evaluating patches and fixes, assessing impact, and implementing solution
• Conducts in-depth analysis to solve problems, identifying gaps and issues that minimize system modification and maintenance.
• Makes recommendations, including discovering new approaches or applications.
• Performs hands-on installation, network connection trouble-shooting, designing firewall rules, and topology.
• Evaluates, implements, and supports web applications.
• Evaluates, implements, setups, configures, maintains, and supports security applications.
• Remains current with emerging security technologies.
• Evaluates related IT compliance regulations and requirements for application and network topology design and implementation.
• Develops plans to safeguard computer configurations against accidental or unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure and to meet emergency data processing needs.
• Performs system security reviews and tests and write formal reports and follow-up advisory memos.
• Receives reports on security breaches and takes appropriate action to minimize harm and liability.
• Monitors process and inspects the system and network data for computer and network usage policy compliance, system integrity, and incident response.
• Assists local area in applying best practices in securing the data and information systems under their control.
• Determines, recommends, and implements hardware and software upgrades for business applications, server hardware, network equipment, desktop, laptop, etc.

• Experience in the following:
  • 8 years in IT industry, specifically in administration, set up and maintaining of company infrastructure.
  • 1-year in handling and supervising employees
  • 3 years' in set-up, administration, and maintenance of web applications, and servers.
• Open-source advocate.
• Strong exposure in SDLC.
• Highly exposed to networking and infrastructure technologies.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Highly organized and flexible.
