2D Echocardiography Technologist  

• Provide comprehensive care for the patient by utilizing the nursing process.

Responsibilities:

• Patient Management
  • Identify and analyze patient’s personal and health profile making use of records and collections of patient’s data.
  • Identify and assess nursing problems- physical, mental and spiritual.
  • Plan, implement and deliver nursing care according to priorities.
  • Give health Instructions to patient and relatives.
  • Discuss and clarify to patient’s relatives their role in the promotion of therapy and rehabilitation.
  • Give appropriate instructions regarding tests and procedures.
  • Assists the Medical Resident on duty before and after the procedures.
  • Assists the patient’s needs before during and after the procedures.
• Report/Record Management
  • Documents all incidents reports accurately and timely.
  • Records all borrowed department records properly in the logbook.
  • Check that all pending procedures and request ordered through phone or computer is executed completely.
  • Complete and correct patient profile, charging and posting of readers.
  • Encoding of official interpretation done by assigned Cardiologist in the absence of encoder.
  • Complete Patient’s profiles in procedure forms and ensures that the consent forms are given prior to every procedure.
• Others
  • Performs other functions as may be assigned by immediate superior from time to time.

• A licensed Nurse/ Radiologic Technologist
• With at least one year experience in general nursing/ 2D Echo training
• Strong analytical and planning skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
