Business and Data Analyst  

We are looking for Business and Data analysts equipped with a strong analytical background, who loves working with data, analyzing trends and finding correlations in the numbers. Has a strong attention to detail, likes to get in and build campaigns, workflows, and user flows, and has experience with engaging users online.

This person will work closely with the Canva for Work growth team to give users the best possible experience on Canva’s premium service. This is done through our customer behavior analysis using data-driven ICE scores to determine the next project to be implemented that will affect key goals and metrics around Acquisitions, Activation, Retention, Referral and Revenue.

• Working with data: Collecting and data from various sources such as churn surveys, email campaigns, MySQL databases and other sources of user feedback and interaction data.
• Understanding customer behavior and using it to inform marketing campaigns, projects, and initiatives.
• Onboarding: Creating Appcues and in-app onboarding flows and analysis of the success of these onboarding flows using SQL queries and other reporting tools
• Email marketing: Conceptualising and executing data-driven marketing campaigns, creating tests, surveys and analyzing performance to provide on-going recommendation
• Working with designers: Working with designs to turn an idea into a beautifully executed campaign.
• Documentation, administration, and checklists: Creating and maintaining checklists and documentation for training and ongoing work purposes. Alongside maintaining a library of test results and folder structure in google drive.

• Previous professional experience in a related/relevant function
• Must have solid technical knowledge and experience in using SQL, PostgreSQL
• Proven capacity to develop highly effective data-driven marketing campaigns (Experience working with tools such as Vero, Google analytics, Jira, Amplitude, appcues, google suite and more.)
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage/prioritize one’s workload
• Excellent grasp of the English language — technically strong with a flair for short content writing
• Must be a strategic-thinker who thrives on solving problems to create best customer experience
• Detail-oriented and highly-adaptable: you must be able to create campaigns from data, and be ready to alter them should they not work and be able to create campaigns without errors

Good to have skills:

• HTML skill set: be able to make adjustments to HTML of emails and appcues as required to make them work.
• Content creation: Writing content for e-mails, onboarding flows, and other copy requirements of Canva for Work.
