Technical Operations Engineer  

This position will suit a detail-oriented with strong IT skills, a good understanding of internet technologies, and great written and oral communication skills.

The role involves back-end monitoring and basic troubleshooting of important business systems, supporting the Software Development and IT services team with their operational requirements, and liaising with third-party technical contacts to resolve issues.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of customer issues reported and see problems through resolution.
• Research, diagnose, troubleshoot and identify solutions to resolve customer issues.
• Monitor internal and third-party systems critical to business operations.
• Troubleshooting and resolving problems arising on server-side systems or third-party integration process.
• Communicate with Development team, IT team, third party IT contacts and stakeholders to identify, diagnose and ultimately resolve day-to-day system issues.
• Assist account management team to meet client needs including reporting, configuration and basic troubleshooting.
• Follow standard procedures for proper escalation of unresolved issues to the appropriate internal and external teams by Manage the delegation of newly created Helpdesk cases to the appropriate IT or Development team member.
• Ensure recording and closure of all issues.
• Ensures good quality customer service, perception and satisfaction.
• Creates and maintain internal process documentation.

• B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or other Engineering and I.T. related disciplines.
• Great interpersonal skills: Communication both written and verbal, telephony, active listening and customer care.
• Can work well with a team but can be independent and proactive.
• Experience with a wide range of internet technologies like FTP, XML, SOAP, BAT scripts, etc.,
• The understanding and ability to configure server-side software and services.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-moving environment, Need to be organised, professional, and have a keen attention to detail.
• Resourceful and result-oriented.
• Analytical and strong problem solving abilities.
• Must be trustworthy, should impose integrity and reliability at work.
• Must be familiar with basic SQL commands.
• Must know basic programming/scripting.
• Familiar with crystal reports/active reports.
