UI/UX Designer  

• Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, animations and visual designs throughout the full cycle of product design and development
• Conceptualize ideas that bring simplicity and user-friendliness to complex design problems
• Rapidly explore multiple concepts & design variations
• Collaborate with product managers, business stakeholders, marketers, and engineers to deliver user-centered designs that support the overall business strategy
• Create design systems, and maintain and promote style guides, consistency, standards and best practices
• Create elegant, information-dense responsive web layouts for any type of device
• Create beautiful, clean native app layouts for both Android and iOS
• Organize large amounts of information so that it is easy to read, understand, find and interpret
• Deliver high-fidelity designs and specifications, and work closely with engineers to deploy them into existing and new applications
• Lead all design and creative aspects of a project as necessary
• Synthesize customer insights from quantitative and qualitative sources to inform iteration of customer experiences
• Remain knowledgeable about emerging UI and UX standards and trends​

• Strong written and verbal communication/presentation skills, including the ability to sell ideas to founders, executives or external stakeholders
• Mastery of design tools: Adobe CS/CC, Sketch, etc
• Proficiency in one or more prototypng tools: HTML/CSS/JS, InVision, Framer, After Effects, etc
• Strong visual design skills and background designing for systems (styleguides, patterns)
• Experience designing for responsive web and mobile applications (iOS, Android)
• understanding of front-end and back-end technologies and their limitations/impact to user experience
• A portfolio demonstrating a strong, clean visual design sense. The porfolio should manifest attention to usability, simplicity, and consistency
• Strong time management skills and self-sufficience

Preferred Skills:

• Designers whose skills encompass interaction and visual design
• Attention to subtle micro-interactions
• Proficiency in vector illustration, iconography or typography design a nice-to-have
• user research (both ethnographic and design focused) and usability tests
• Ecommerce or Marketplace design experience
