Quality Assurance Specialist  

The Quality Assurance (QA) Associate supports the marketing team to ensure that a new product in development (software) as well as the final product itself is error-free and meets standards for operating and usage. He/She also ensures that released products are performing as they should.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality assurance checks on products and services in development for technical accuracy
• Report their experiences, successes, and failures to the team to use in future iterations or versions.
• Report on any improvements implemented, and note any effects of modifications to a product
• Provide a clear documentation of all the products they’ve tested and will be testing.
• Investigate and diagnose quality complaints, track down components, and recommend corrective actions.
• Verify logs, databases, and other data to track and flag quality concerns and improvements.
• Work closely with other teams to identify the roots of potential problems and develop sustainable solutions.

• Proven work experience in software development
• Proven work experience in software quality assurance
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
• Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
• Excellent attention to detail, as all steps in the quality process must be documented clearly
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as findings needs to be relayed clearly and accurately
• Ability to adhere to tight deadlines
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to multitask
• Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality
• Must be able to work independently as well as on a team
