Level 3 | Network Engineer  

• Taking level 1 and 2 support calls from New Zealand and Australian clients and working through faults with them. These may be to do with internet services, IP telephony services, hosted services, or internal network performance.
• Escalating faults as required and working effectively with senior engineers to assist as needed.
• Provisioning client services.
• Assisting sales team by providing service information and provisioning notes.
• Updating and maintaining existing infrastructure as required.
• Documenting systems and network design as needed/when requested.
• You’ll be directly reporting to a Service Desk Manager which is based in New Zealand
• Shifts will be from 4:00 am up until 1pm

Job Requirements

Previous experience with the following would be an advantage;

• SIP telephony systems o Asterisk
• Voipswitch
• Linux, specifically CentOS
• Cisco/Juniper/Fortinet routers/switches
• VMware
• One or more of the following company’s products - Citylink, Araneo, Enable, Vector, TelstraClear, Kordia, Orcon, CallPlus, Voxbone

The use of the following technologies will be required;

• Direct (DTS CRM/portal)
• DNS – BIND
• Mail - Postfix, CourierIMAP
• Hosting - cPanel o RADIUS – FreeRADIUS
• Monitoring - Cacti, Nagios
• Operating Systems - Centos 5, Debian, VMware ESX, Xen, Windows
• Routing & Switching – Cisco/Juniper/Fortinet
• Strong analytical and planning skills;
• Good communication and presentation skills;
• Excellent problem-solving skills;

Must Have

• 5+ years juniper experience
• 5+ years WAN and core network experience
• 5+ years in network design
• Must be able to learn fast in a fast paced environment
• Must be a CCNA, CCNP, Juniper Certified
