Accounting Supervisor  

The Accounting Supervisor’s responsibilities will cover the following:

• Delegatesaccounting tasks to the assigned Team to ensure completion within prescribed deadlines

· Performs general accounting activities, including the preparation, maintenance and reconciliation of ledger accounts and financial statements, such as balance sheets, income statement and capital expenditures spend

· Endorses cash disbursements by verifying check amounts against invoices, authorizing checks and wire transfers (if applicable) for approval.

· Assesses completeness, accuracy and integrity of accounting data and records and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles

· Keeps track of documentations and accounting records

· Effectively communicates with employees and maintain a positive working relationship when addressing problems and coming up with solutions

· Provides financial support for forecasting, budgeting, and analyzing variations from budget

· Analyzes and prepares statutory accounts and financial statements and reports

· Conducts or assists in the documentation of accounting projects

· Supports annual audit, both internal and external

· Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.

· Maintains financial security by adhering to internal controls.

• Accomplishes accounting and organization vision/mission by completing related results as needed.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Education and work experience:
  • Bachelors/College Degree in Accountancy;
  • CPA is preferred
  • 3 years and up relevant work experience in handling accounting tasks as a staff, or,
  • 2 years or more work experience in performing supervisory role and team leadership

• Competencies:
  • Applies logic to solve problems and get the job done.
  • Proficient in using accounting software, preferably SAP, MS Office applications and business intelligence tools
  • Skilled at both oral and written communication that can influence others. Uses effectual examples and visual aids that have an impact on the audience.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to obtain information from several sources to address present needs.
  • Can work manage direct reports not only for assigning tasks but also ensure professional development/growth for his direct reports when opportunities arise.
  • Has personal and professional ethics and fosters a diverse and respectful workplace.
  • Can enlist the support and cooperation of others and encourage them to be proactive.
  • Ability to respond to the clients and anticipate their needs.
  • Achieves goals in a timely manner while providing excellent client service.
