Tax Compliance Officer  

Major Responsibilities

• To provide full direct and indirect taxation support to the TSA.
• To ensure that clients’ transactions are applied accurately and consistently with full compliance to applicable BIR regulations through regular quarterly tax audit.
• Monitor the turnaround time of phases of the tax planning and ensure that all taxation filing deadlines and concerns of the clients are met and/or addressed.
• To undertake research of the tax issues affecting clients when required.
• Other duties, including special projects.

Key Areas of Responsibilities

• Provide specialized advice and assistance to clients requiring the interpretation and management of their taxation obligations, and communication of relevant changes to taxation laws and rulings and supervise staff.
• Build relationships and interact with clients to provide innovative tax planning, consulting and expertise.
• Contribute to clients’ tax compliance process by identifying and mitigating tax risks.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of appropriate tax saving recommendations to the management for transactions subject to tax compliance and business risk, including quality assurance.
• Provide taxation training, procedures, advice and support to clients and implement and maintain reliable systems of high integrity.
• Generate client reports and tax assessments based on the data gathered/provided by the clients’ management.
• Sustain strict client confidentiality relating to their tax issues and adhere to other tax professional standards and ethics required in the profession.
• Collaborate with the different groups in the company in formulating strategies on how to achieve organizational and departmental goals.

TECHNICAL OR EXPERT KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:

• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in a consultative capacity, both verbally and in writing, including the ability to write and present reports and discussion papers.
• Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines and work independently with minimum supervision and in a team environment.
• Experience in the supervision of staff.
• Proven ability to contribute effectively to the development and implementation of finance-related policies and procedures, preferably those relating to taxation compliance.
• Experience in an accounting services environment, including preparation of financial statements and experience in processing financial transactions.
• Experience in providing specialized advice to clients and business process improvement.
• Ability to compute figures rapidly and accurately and to analyze and interpret financial data.
• A working knowledge of the laws and principles associated with tax legislations and related BIR rulings.
• Maintain office ethics and confidentiality.

• Candidate must be graduate of Accountancy.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) / Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) required
• At least 2 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Required Skill(s): analytical, problem solving, hard working
• Knowledge in computer applications: MS Word, Excel & Powerpoint
• Preferably 1-4 Yrs Experienced Employee specialized in Finance - Audit/Taxation or equivalent.
