Junior Accountant  

The Junior Accountant is responsible for ensuring that the assigned units are able to meet all of the funding requirements, in compliance with the units' and Aboitiz Equity Ventures, Inc.'s Accounting policies, and in line with its commitment to record all revenues and process disbursements of the units.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Helping achieve operational objectives through the timely processing of donations received from Business Units, Executives, and other donors
• Close monitoring of the status of billed revenues, purchase requisitions, and requests for payments
• Ensuring that all documents are in compliance with all relevant BIR, SEC regulations, and AEV Accounting policies
• Aiding in project status monitoring
• Identifying areas of improvement for existing processes to facilitate system enhancements and to implement change
• Delivering accurate and relevant accounting information by preparing periodic reconciliation of vouchers
• Ensuring that disbursements are in line with budget/cost line item expenditures by verifying the cost items in the purchase requisition / purchase order
• Aiding in the preparation of external audit materials and external financiial reporting
• Providing technical assistance to unit team members and officers on accounting and financial matters
• Performing ad hoc tasks or special assignments

• Candidate must be a graduate of BS Accountancy, BS Management Accounting, or BS Accounting Technology
• 1 year or less of work experience in the field is required for the position
• CPA an advantange, but not required
