Job Description
- Work with fellow engineers, product managers and business owners in the team to ensure requirements are sound and are met
- Design and develop internal tools for business operations, including day-to-day platform management and transactions reporting
- Build and maintain APIs exposed externally for businesses to issue Visa Cards
- Integrate with third party APIs to enable local and global payments for the cards
- Analyze requirements carefully and solve difficult problems across the platform
- Build the platform from scratch and impact the architecture positively
Minimum Qualifications
- 2+ years of backend engineering experience
- Knowledge in Ruby on Rails
- Interested in bringing to life a product that is first to market in the region
- Knowledge of iterative, sprint based product development style
- Knowledge of Git and GitHub
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs
- Knowledge of Web services
- Knowledge of SQL, database design and tuning of database performance
- Knowledge of queue systems
