Driver / Stock Steward  

General Description

The Driver/Stock Steward’s job is to handle the company’s transport-related tasks such as the pick-up and drop-off of employees and other deliveries items. He/she must deliver according to what the company requires.

As the Driver, he mainly assists in the transport-related tasks of the company. It includes transporting staff from pick-up to drop-off points, loading, and unloading of products for delivery. The Driver must perform tasks in a timely and punctual manner, setting routes that avoid traffic congestion.

As the Stock Steward, his job is to handle a company's incoming and outgoing deliveries. They process orders and keep the warehouse organized, which includes everything from physically moving products around the warehouse space to properly maintaining all shipping and receiving records.

Driver/Stock Steward spends much of their time on their feet and needs to be able to bend and lift. Because of the physical nature of their job, they should be in good shape and possess stamina. Hours can be long, especially in busy seasons.

Job Responsibilities

• Safely transporting company staff as well as products
• Assisting with the loading and offloading of delivery items
• Adjusting travel routes to avoid traffic congestion or road construction.
• Promptly informing the company of any tickets issued against the company vehicle during work hours.
• Ensuring that the company vehicle is always parked in areas that permit parking
• Keeping the company vehicle clean and properly maintained
• Following time assignments directed by the company
• Reporting any accidents, injuries, and vehicle damage to management.
• Loads and unloads items from delivery trucks, move items to the appropriate storage area, prepare outgoing shipments, and check that orders are complete and not damaged.
• Match purchase orders to sales orders and distribute to sales executives for processing.
• Accurately maintain company database including all stock and inventory items.
• Maintains quality service by following organization standards.
• Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers.

• With Professional Driver's License (at least with Restriction 1, 2)
• High school graduate
• Strong analytical and planning skills;
• Good communication and presentation skills;
• Excellent problem-solving skills;
