Accounting Manager  

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

The Accounting Manager is responsible for the direction, administration, and control of all General Accounting activities and functions.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensures the following:
  • Maintenance of effective internal controls to assure safeguarding of assets and reliability of financial statements.
  • Adequate and accurate records are maintained for all assets, liabilities, and financial transactions.
  • Complete and up-to-date operating procedures for all Accounting and Financial controls.
    • Validates and reviews the computation, entry, and supporting documents of cash and accounts payable vouchers.
  • Compliance with any and all financial and contract reporting requirements of regulatory agencies.
  • All accountable forms and journals are properly reported and complied.
• Reviews and approves the following:
  • Sales invoices.
  • Statement of accounts.
  • Blling statements and debit/credit memos.
  • Accounts payable and journal vouchers.
• Reviews all receipts and disbursements, ascertains correct account distribution.
  • Ensure all support documentation is accurate and in order.
• Prepares, reviews, and analyzes monthly financial package such as Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash flow Statement, and its supporting schedules.
• Reviews and analyzes the schedule submitted by the staff such as:
  • Aging of Accounts receivable/Accounts payable.
  • Advances to Officers and employees.
  • Advances to/from affiliates.
  • Bank reconciliation.
  • Short term loan.
  • Other payables.
• Takes responsibility for all audit requirements (both internal and external).
• Takes responsibility for the preparation, remittance, and compliance of all government reportorial requirements such as:
  • Quarterly corporate income tax returns.
  • Monthly and Quarterly VAT return.
  • Expanded Withholding tax.
  • Withholding tax on compensation.
  • Business Permit and the like.
• Assists in the following:
  • Preparing of annual budgets and cash flow projections.
  • Resolving accounting and financial problems and/or issues.
  • Preparing special cost studies as required.
• Performs additional duties as requested by the members of the Executive committee.

• Formal education in Accounting.
  • Preferably with a CPA license or demonstrated equivalent in education and experience.
• At least 5 years working experience, 3-5 years of which in managerial capacity
• Thorough understanding of general accounting, bookkeeping, and financial management information.
• Highly computer literate.
• Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
