Job Description
- Specialize on implementing projects relating to Social Media (Big Data), Analytics, Cloud Computing Technologies, and Mobile.
- Provide work estimates for proposed system and contribute to establishing the feasibility and economic justification for simple to medium IT projects.
- Identify areas of improvement/enhancement on existing system.
- Determine, analyze, and transform business requirements to produce Functional and/or System specifications and provides coaching to System Analysts and/or Programmers or external developers to carry out design and programming tasks.
- Perform implementation review including program promotions and installation of the system.
- Ensure that they adhere to Sun Life Standard.
- Ensure all project documentation including System Manual and Operations Manual are updated according to Sun Life Standard.
- Provide post implementation and production support for supported systems including analysis of production problems raised by users and ad-hoc inquiries and to provide business/technical solutions.
Minimum Qualifications
- College degree preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Management.
- 5 to 7 years of work experience in application development preferably in life insurance.
- Experience with relational DBMS, SQL and in on-line application development.
- Experienced in creating highly effective and beautiful user-focused user interfaces (UI) and user experiences (UX) across a variety of environments (mobile, web apps, dashboards, e-commerce, etc).
- Strong background in JAVA/J2EE, JavaScript, XML, UNIX, and HTML.
