Job Description
The Finance and Accounting Officer | Mandarin speaking is responsible for the effective and accurate processing and monitoring of all accounts payable and receivables transactions for the different business units.
He/she shall process and monitor transactions such as invoices, payments, credit memo, etc. in the accounting system as well as bank reconciliation, collection/cash receipts (CR), statutory requirements, etc. Other key tasks and responsibilities are as follows:
1. Accounts Payable
- Create purchase invoice of accounts payable transactions in the accounting system for different business units.
- Prepare accounts payable vouchers or credit memo in the accounting system.
- Ensure accuracy of details or items in the general journal entries of all AP transactions in the accounting system for different business units.
- Perform general accounting duties as assigned including journal entry preparation and processing analysis activity in the accounting system.
- Compute and record intercompany accounts payable in the system.
- Perform verification of invoices, ensuring that they are in line with the policies and procedures.
- Prepare and submit accurate accounts payable reports within set deadline.
2. Accounts Receivable
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of collection/cash receipt (CR) transactions.
- Perform validation of all collections and ensures reconciliation of bank and book records.
- Monitor payments or discrepancies from customers and vendors for different business units.
- Prepare and submit accurate accounts receivable reports within set deadline.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy.
- Preferably a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
- At least two (2) years of accounting-related BPO work experience.
- At least one (1) year experience in an automated accounting system.
Skills, expertise, and competencies:
- Can read and speak Mandarin (mandatory).
- Data extraction, transformation, and loading in the Accounting system.
- Knowledgeable in/of the following:
- GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Accounts Payable transaction process.
- Expense monitoring process.
- Accounts Receivable transaction process.
- Reportorial of government statutory requirements.
- Bank reconciliation.
- Tax Report preparation.
