- Closely supervise the community relations and development activities of the two Community Relations Officer in Iligan.
- Maintain a direct reporting relationship to the Executive Director.
- May also report to the Sr. Operations Manager for additional supervision and guidance.
- Create and strengthen effective linkages and good relationships with the Company’s Power Plant stakeholders, specifically the neighboring communities, barangays, city, provincial and regional government units.
- Develop and maintain healthy relationships with key media personalities and key stakeholders (LGU Officials and NGOs).
- Propose and monitor the implementation of policies and community activities.
- Promote the Company’s advocacy programs for the benefit of the community.
- Act as the Liaison Officer and Program Facilitator of the Company to the community groups and other organizations.
- Participate in the development of strategies and approaches to deal with disputes involving resource companies and local communities.
- Coordinate with the third-party institutions and community members in the implementation of the Company programs.
- Provide the Company with scheduled-based reports on sustainable development and on relevant social, economic, health, heritage, or environmental issues that may require intervention and maybe valuable in decision making and in future recommendations to the management.
- Monitor emerging issues, local laws, and ordinances that may impact on CSR work in the community and on company public relations.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of any 4-year course.
- At least 5 years experience in Community Relations particularly in Iligan and Mindanao area.
- Good relations with all relevant LGU officials both city and barangay levels.
- Good contacts with regulatory officials like DENR, CEMO, etc.
- Strong analytical and planning skills.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Willing to be assigned in Iligan.
