Job Description
DMS Operation and Capacity Building (Pre-Disaster)
- Meeting with partner National Societies regarding the project
- Monitor and direct trainings of identified communities on Disaster Risk Reduction by implementing DRR programs to develop community resiliency.
- Monitor and oversees trainings of DMS employees and chapter service representative on disaster risk reduction and mitigation by conducting DRR courses to become effective trainers in the communities.
- Develop, review, and recommend Disaster Risk Reduction and Relief Operation project proposal
Relief Assistance to Affected Population (During Disaster Response)
- Deploy assessment team/s and provide initial report to DM director and other concern PRC offices including partners
- Coordinate with partners or other stakeholders for possible support in our relief effort
- Monitor, oversees and instruct in accordance to Disaster Operation Manual on relief operation and submit a daily progress report to the DM Director
- Coordinate with other PRC concern offices, chapters, partners (IFRC, ICRC, and Partner National Society) and provide update report on the status.
Rehabilitation Program (After Disaster and early recovery)
- Review, develop a proposal and recommend rehabilitation project based on assessment analysis result
- Supervise the implementation of projects and proper coordination with other concern offices and chapter
- Process the needed documents on time including the MOA if needed.
Office and Staff Management
- Assure all pertinent documents will be processed on time.
- Assure Disaster Management monthly report to be submitted on time
- Assure training for staff and volunteer development
- Meeting with DMS staff
- Participate and cooperate in any PRC major activities
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Community Development, Social Sciences, Development Studies or related courses
- Advanced university degree relevant to the role is an advantage
- Minimum of 5 years work experience on similar role in Disaster Relief Operation or Disaster Management
- Must be familiar with Philippine Red Cross standard operations and procedures
