Job Description

  • Generate accurate financial transaction records for collections, invoices, payments, expenses, revenues, daily cash flow reports.
  • Valuate financial documents for correctness and completeness.
  • Prepare and send transaction documents (e.g. Official Receipts, Statement of Account, Sales Invoice) to customers.
  • Process payments to suppliers and manage accounts payable.
  • Handle necessary banking activities (e.g. withdrawals, deposits, ordering of checkbook) and perform the duties when necessary.
  • Coordinate with banks regarding company accounts and maintain banking relationships.
  • Manage payroll system including salary deposits, tax calculation, and payroll reconciliation.
  • Prepare monthly statements by collecting data, analyzing and investigating variances, and summarizing data, information, and trends.
  • Perform month-end closing activities such as revenue accounting, expense accounting, account reconciliation, etc.
  • Prepare and manage the company’s accounting books following Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Prepare periodic budgets and forecasts, study variances, and recommend cost-effective adjustments, and assist management in the formulation of its overall strategic direction.
  • Prepare and propose costing and pricing recommendations for new products and services.
  • Analyze and recommend cost reduction plans in all areas of the company.
  • Update job knowledge by keeping current with financial regulations and accepted practices, engage in benchmarking studies to establish areas of potential operational improvement, participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
  • Maintain knowledge of all organizational and governmental rules affecting Finance and Accounting, and provide information about these rules to organization staff members, vendors, and customers.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing, Sales, Production, and requesting departments to ensure effective performance of tasks.
  • Works with the Sales Team in managing the Weekly Sales Summary for monitoring of payments received and proper check and balance.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduate of Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Finance Management, or related field of study.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is an advantage
  • Must have 2-4 years of experience in Finance and Accounting field
  • Preferably specializing in General/Cost Accounting or equivalent
  • Competent knowledge in computer applications (e.g. Quickbooks, Microsoft Excel)
  • Proficient knowledge in food & beverage industry is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong statistical analysis and problem-solving skills
  • A highly organized and strategic planner
  • Highly adaptive and resourceful
  • A proactive self-starter
  • Works well under pressure and cope with fast-paced environment
  • Good team player
  • Must be willing to work in Mandaluyong City
