Job Description
- Producing Electrical and Mechanical building service drawings to meet client requirements within given time frames
- Set up project backgrounds (e.g. Architectural, structural, coordinated RCP’s) in accordance with standards and manager directives
- Follow and comply with drafting procedures in preparation of building services documents
- Prepare a transmittal advice for each set of documents issued
- Electronically issue documents in accordance with drafting procedures
- Developing skills on the application of Computer-Aided Design (CAD)
- Planning and managing resources of small projects or parts of larger projects
- Self-planning and prioritizing of tasks based on communication with the CAD drafters, and or engineers and the supervisor.
- Ensure that all work meets engineering and quality standards by ensuring designs are checked and verified at each project stage – schematic, conceptual, detailed and documentation
- Store (incoming and outgoing) documents in accordance with drafting procedures
- Provide support to the functions of the documentation managers in accordance with drafting procedures
- Store information on databases efficiently and accurately
Minimum Qualifications
- Must have 1 – 2 years of CAD design experience.
- Able to work in multiple CAD programs
- Good Communication skills
- Extremely good organizational skills
- Able to work independently to deadlines
- High-level problem-solving skills and independent thinking
