Job Description
Compensation
- Perform daily payroll services activities
- Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely
- Review and reconcile payroll instructions prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports
- Understand proper taxation of employees' salary and employer paid benefits
- Attend to employees' payroll-related queries and request
- Review and ensure accuracy of tax reconciliation and annual Alpha list reports
- Develop ad hoc financial and operational reporting as needed
- Conduct manual and random checking of payroll computation
- Conduct research and benchmarking of best payroll practices and updates
- Upload payroll text files to bank facilities and ensure/monitor crediting to individual payroll accounts.
- Monitor leave availment, uploading and conversion
Statutory Dues
- Prepare and ensure accuracy of all SSS, HDMF and Philhealth textfiles for online uploading and payment
- Coordinate and follow-up fund requirements for the monthly statutory remittances
- Monitor availability of fund and payment apporoval of monthly remittances
- Ensure approval/payment of all statutory remittances on or before 10th of every month
- Secure Special bank receipts every after remittance and provide copy to Accounting, Treasury and Compensation and Admin Shared file.
Other Compensation-Related Tasks
- Prepare computation and request for payment for separated employees' last pay/receivables including retirement and early resignation benefit.
- Prepare regularization and promotion papers.
- Compute maternity benefit difference
- Attend to the preparation of NSO and DOLE Survey reports
- Prepare Job Offer Sheets
- Prepare employment contracts for new employees
- Prepare Certificate of Employment and ITR requests.
Employee Relations Activities
- Actively participates and/or leads in employee relations and communication activities such as company outing and Christmas party, sportsfest, etc.
- Attend employee communication programs such as account department or division meetings, HRU, meet the President, etc.
- Keep abreast of new trends and practices in industrial and compensation relations.
- Monitors and records related expenses regularly.
Administrative Requirements
- Prepares and updates department's BSC.
- Prepares, maintains and ensures accuracy of retirement monitoring for the Tollways Group.
- Monitors and ensures that all employees who are eligible to avail the Retirement Benefit are properly notified as scheduled.
- Prepares liquidation/ reimbursement reports, payment advices.
- Prepares departments weekly report.
Minimum Qualifications
- Strong analytical and planning skills;
- Good communication and presentation skills;
- Excellent problem-solving skills;
- Graduate of BS Accountancy, Psychology, Behavioral Science or equivalent
- Experience in payroll processing, statutory remittance, preparation and consolidation of payroll-related documents
