Job Description
- Validates received instructions from immediate superior by clarifying understanding to conduct tasks accordingly.
- Sources for suitable vendors by referring to descriptions received from immediate superior to make sure that items being purchased are of the same quality and specifications as per request.
- Obtains and evaluates quotations by contacting vendors via various means of communication to facilitate selection.
- Negotiates for discounts, payment terms, delivery schedules, warranties, etc., by working out means where the company can leverage at to settle on terms that is advantageous ad beneficial for the company.
- Presents PO Details Form by preparing the same with complete attachments, reason for recommendation for special cases, etc., to facilitate decision making and selection.
- Follows up on orders by contacting vendors via various means to ensure that materials are shipped and delivered on promised dates.
- Safe keeps records and various files by utilizing office equipment and entering data into a developed database to facilitate safekeeping and easy retrieval.
- Maintains various files such as Vendor Listing, price directory, etc., by developing a database and regularly updates to facilitate information process.
- Performs other functions which may be required by the immediate superior from time to time.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate BS Civil Engineering, BS Architecture, or any four-year business related course.
- At least one year of relevant work experience.
- Communication skills.
- Negotiation skills.
- Technical capacity.
- Commercial awareness.
- Eager to follow through: persistence.
