This candidate will be responsible for formulating research-based strategies in order to communicate the stories of our clients’ products and properties, while collaborating with internal and external advertising, public relations, and creative teams.
JOB DESCRIPTION
M2.0 Communications is looking for a Junior Strategist who will be responsible for translating deep cultural understanding and key insights into actionable ideas for prospective clients, as well as existing public relations, digital marketing, and events accounts. We are looking for creative, forward-thinking people who excel in a fast paced work place and who can get along with like-minded peers.
Qualified candidates will be able to effectively assist on multiple projects and will be responsible for not only translating audience insights and marketing objectives into campaign strategies and tactical creative ideas for prospective customers, but will also be tasked with advising both clients and internal teams throughout the lifespan of projects — from consumer understanding and strategic planning to idea development and execution.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop insights to inspire idea-centric campaign strategies in collaboration with the firm’s Strategy and Planning Team
- Translate cultural trends and research into creative tactical ideas
- Provide insights and advice that will guide strategic, creative, and production projects
- Proactively propose opportunistic ideas to take advantage of emerging technologies, developments in popular culture, and current events in real-time
- Help create and facilitate training activities under the agency’s Continuous Learning Program, with a view of helping the firm understand and make best use of the latest communication trends whether digital or offline
- Develop in collaboration with internal teams better ways through which Big Ideas can be translated into communications strategy, as well as ways through which these strategies can be executed and managed
- Assist the firm’s business units, creatives, and marketing teams with concerns related to communications strategy and innovation
Minimum Qualifications
- 1–3 years in brand strategy/account planning with excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Experience working on consumer brands, activations and experiential programs, and content creation is preferred
- A deep understanding of and interest in the trends shaping consumer behavior today and in the future
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and project management skills
- Digitally connected and curious
- Good interpersonal skills and sense of team play
- Strong design and MS Office proficiency, especially Powerpoint
