* Design, develop, and configure software systems to meet market and/or client requirements either end-to-end from analysis, design, implementation, quality assurance (including testing), to delivery and maintenance of the software product or system or for a specific phase of the lifecycle
* Apply knowledge of Microsoft .NET technology, applications, methodologies, processes and tools to support a client, project or entity
* Application Design
o Assist in defining and reviewing requirements and use cases for the application
o Use the business process requirements to drive out application requirements and metrics
o Design the application to meet the business process design and application requirements
o Validate the design with the stakeholders to ensure that the design satisfies the requirements
o Supervise other designers or developers in completing designs
o Inform the project manager of any issues that may affect other areas of the project
o Participate in quality management reviews, ensuring the application design and related work products satisfy the requirements
o Participate in transitioning the designs to the developers, and ensure a clear and complete understanding of the designs
o Ensure that other team members have the information they need to successfully complete their work
o Complete all appropriate documentation required by the developers, testers, deployment team, and application management team that will maintain the application
o Design the application user interfaces, classes, and components
* Development
o Perform the detailed design of application and technical architecture components
o Develop common test data
o Configure, build, and test the application or technical architecture components
o Work with other developers, designers, and architects to make sure that the configuration and custom components meet application requirements and performance goals
o Follow good security coding practices to ensure the application is free of most common coding vulnerabilities
o Participate in code reviews
o Inform the project manager of any issues that may affect any other areas of the project
o Participate in transitions of the application or technical architecture components to the testers
o Fix any defects and performance problems discovered in testing
o Document the application to facilitate maintenance
* Support
o Create technical and functional/end-user operational documentation for the software or system
o Provide application/technical support as needed
o Provide primary support toward installation of application releases into production as directed
* Process Execution and Improvement
o Provide input in determining level of effort
o Review and understand work plan
o Meet milestones and related effort/time commitments for assigned deliverables and provide work status, including estimated-time-to-complete (ETC) and actuals
o Coordinate and participate in structured peer reviews/walkthroughs
o Plan and execute all required process steps as defined in our methodologies
o Anticipate, identify, track and resolve issues and risks affecting the software or system
o Maintain and/or update technical and/or industry knowledge and skills through continuous learning activities, such as reading journals / magazines, collaborating with other technical professionals, learning from on-the-role experiences, participating in technical training, and/or writing articles
* Project Delivery Interaction
o Take part in and/or conduct customer workshops to obtain customization requirements
o Collect customer feedback in software asset installation projects
Minimum Qualifications
o At least 5 years of experience in a software development role
o At least 5 years of experience developing with Microsoft .NET Framework
o At least 3 years of experience developing multi-tier applications in Microsoft based environments
o At least 3 years of experience working with Microsoft SQL Server 2005 or above
o Proficient in Visual C# and/or VB.NET languages
o Proficient in ASP.NET development
o Proficient in SQL development
o Proficient in unit test, automation and/or Test Driven Development
* Preferred Technical Skills and Experience:
o Proficient in ASP.NET MVC 4 or above
o Proficient in ADO.NET, Entity Framework and LINQ
o Proficient in CSS3, HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap and AngularJS
o Proficient in implementing MVC, MVP and/or MVVM design patterns
o Experience developing and consuming web services/WCF
o Experience working with Team Foundation Server (TFS)
o Previous leadership experience
