Job Description
- IT technical support officers monitor and maintain the computer systems and networks of an organisation.
- Could be installing and configuring computer systems, diagnosing hardware and software faults
- Solve technical and applications problems, either over the phone or in person.
- Working with customers/employees to identify computer problems and advising on the solution
• Logging and keeping records of customer/employee queries
• Analysing call logs so you can spot common trends and underlying problems
• Updating self-help documents so customers/employees can try to fix problems themselves
• Working with field engineers to visit customers/employees if the problem is more serious
• Testing and fixing faulty equipment
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be a graduate of any 4-year Information Technology related course
- With experience in a related field is an advantage
- In-depth knowledge in troubleshooting of computer hardware and its peripherals
- Has dynamic analytical and planning skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Good problem-solving ability
- Has knowledge in basic computer hardware and software troubleshooting
