Accounting Intern  

The successful candidate will be supporing full-time staff with full-cycle and full-charge accounting for clients in various industries. Functions include:

• General accounting;
• Cash and bank reconciliations;
• AP and AR management;
• Payroll;
• Regulatory Compliance;
• Construction accounting;
• Mortgage & investment accounting

We are searching for students who are interested to work as Accounting Interns. Our preferred Candidates will have the following attributes:

• Students (in their 3rd or 4th year) of accountancy, management accounting or accounting technology, finance or business management
• Must have solid understanding of accounting process and be able to do problem solving
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English
• Must have experience or training in MS Excel
• Must be willing to work in a small-business enviroment in QC north area

Please note:

• Preference will be given to candidates who are highly-motivated and who can demonstrate above-average intellect
• No experience required
• Training will be limited to salient features of the client's accounting process: the candidate should be able to learn on the fly and be resourceful to find solutions
• Work schedule is flexible: i) flexitime is observed by the company; ii) shift/schedule can be negotiated, as such, candidates who are still earning their college degrees are highly preferred
• The Candidate should live within 60 minutes of Project 8, QC.: traffic should never be an excuse for tardiness or absence from work (see flexitime above)
• Work load is consistently heavy and very challenging
• Tasks will be performed within the office as the admin assistant will be given access to highly confidential material
