Job Description
- To xecute and implementation of all policies procedures with regards to receiving, loading, dispatch, and delivery.
- Leading distribution activities including scheduling, routing, loading and delivery of consumer products.
- Utilizing docks, warehouse layout, and route truck loading patterns that minimize loading time
- Providing timely service to sales department while minimizing transport costs
- Developing and motivate your team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals
- To ensure compliance of safety standards in transportation functions.
- To ensure maintenance of vehicles in good running condition
- Initiating cost efficiency measures to hit target Cost to Sales ratio.
- To deliver effective change leadership while driving business changes and minimizing people impact
- To ensure proper observance of dispatching schedule / requirements and procedure of cold chain items for provincial delivery.
- Planning of the deliveries for the day. Oversee the timely dispatch of stocks assigned to the delivery personnel.
- Managing and planning the day to day operations of assigned warehouse in order to meet customer requirements.
- To ensure that goals and objectives of assigned warehouse are met and cascaded.
- To ensure proper implementation of policies and procedures on matters involving proper storage, warehousing, prompt delivery of goods, inventory control and management and sufficient security measures to safeguard company assets of assigned warehouse
- To review, suggest and implements changes /enhancement on policies, procedures & guidelines affecting the operations of assigned warehouse.
- To monitor assigned warehouse P & L. Takes note of the variances and comes up with corrective and preventive measures to align the actual expenses with budget.
- To coordinate with other Department, Hubs, Section, Principals and Customers and ensures that all communications are accurately and promptly disseminated and acted upon, if required.
- To evaluate staff performance, determines training requirements to ensure that skills & knowledge are enhanced as part of staff development program.
- To oversee well motivated workforce is maintained in order to achieve departmental goals and objectives. To maintains positive employee, corporate and community relations
- To ensure that packaging materials and relevant equipment requirement of assigned warehouse are met and that they are properly monitored.
- To ensure that all items and orders are prepared complete and in a timely manner, for endorsement to dispatch and distribution.
- To perform other functions that may be assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- College graduate
- At least 1 year experience
- Good communication and presentation skills;
- Strong analytical, planning and organizing Skills
- Excellent Problem-solving skills
- Works well with people
- Customer centric
- Computer literate (Excel)
