FullStack Engineer  

Background of the Role

Code Ninja is looking for a Full Stack Engineer for one of our startups, Veterans Home Access. Veterans Home Access is a veteran owned business that simplifies and expedites the search and delivery of military discharge documents. If you ever wanted to work for a Silicon Valley style startup right here in Manila, this is your chance. We want to gather the best web development engineers the Philippines has to offer, and build an All Star Team.

You’ll be working with talented engineers at a fast moving startup. We need someone who understands business goals, can implement high quality code, and just loves building cool stuff.

What You'll Do

• Develop innovative solutions that meet functional, performance, scalability and reliability requirements while adhering to implementation schedules, development principles and product goals
• Tackle projects within the entire development stack - from the front end to the back end, and everything in between
• Create optimized progressive web applications(PWAs), integrating with various back ends
• Coordinate with the development team on overall technical direction, including framework and library choices, optimization techniques, and best practices
• Adhere to the coding standards and best practices set forth by the company
• Responsible for various aspects of on-call support and maintenance engagement

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years web application development experience in high growth, high traffic environment
• Must know and diligently practice Basic Programming Principles SOLID, Design Patterns, Different Programming Paradigms
• Experience in developing modern progressive web-applications and services.
• Know how to code
• Experience working with version control systems, preferably Git.
• Knowledgeable to follow a legacy code.
• Can work on a graveyard shift preferably, 11 pm to 7 am MNL time, and can be adjusted whenever our business partner prefers.
• Can work in a temporary Work From Home Setup

Technical Skills

• Experience in front end development using Boostrap.
• Proficiency in Front-end frameworks: Vue.js AND NUXT.js
• Proficiency in building API services.
• Expertise in PHP and/or Node.js. Must have practical working knowledge in some of their frameworks specifically Laravel.
• Expertise with Databases preferably MySQL.
• Know a simple web server configuration(Nginx)
