Job Description
- Performs financial and operational audits throughout the organization to provide the management with objective analysis of activities;
- Develops annual audit plan, identifying areas of potential internal control and areas for improving operational efficiency;
- Analyses and concludes on effectiveness and efficiency of control environment;
- Identifies control gaps and opportunities for improvement;
- Documents the results of audit work in accordance with Audit Department to ensure that processes are within the standards;
- Prepares timely and accurate report for executive management and its Board of Directors;
- Provides advice on internal control and participates in enhancing internal audit standards and practices within the Organization;
- Researches new or technical subjects when required to support audits;
- Reviews staff audit work to ensure appropriate documentation and support to establish and maintain effective working relationships in the course of the work;
- Serves as a consultant to management staff on internal control and operating issues;
- Prepares and administers the department’s budget to ensure cost efficiency;
- Maintains internal contacts with audit firms and other public and private agencies for purposes of obtaining financial and other related data and information.
- Analyze, evaluate and resolve complex internal control problems to ensure smooth-flow of operations;
- Apply recognized auditing quality assurance standards to each audit project to ensure acceptability and efficiency of reports;
- Recommends and implement more efficient methods, systems and reporting formats to the management;
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be a graduate of Accounting course from any reputable schools/universities;
- A minimum of at least three (3) years relevant experience in the same capacity;
- A certified Internal Auditor;
- Up-to-date knowledge of all aspects of audit procedures relevant to the job and it’s requirements;
- Excellent communication and presentation skills;
- Must have good analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Must have the ability to work as part of the team;
- With highly-developed negotiating and interpersonal techniques;
- IT Literacy an advantage.
