Procurement Manager  

Job Description Summary:

• Supervises Procurement and Vendor Management operations in accordance with the standard processes. Monitors the performance of subordinates to ensure the timely processing of requests.
• Making sure that competitive and fair bidding process are being complied to encourage healthy competition among accredited vendors to determine the most beneficial market price for the best interest of the Company
• Reviews and recommends changes in policy should this be the means to resolve and improve Procurement Operations
• Negotiates the best price and terms from the most complying bidder to secure the best benefit and savings for the company
• Approve the ordering of necessary goods and services.
• Finalize details of orders and deliveries.
• Communicate with the end-users, project managers and other key persons to ensure the compliance of the specifications with what the client desires.
• Perform spend management analysis to monitor and perform cost saving strategies.
• Monitors delivery/completion status with supplier.
• Provides cost/pricing and other information as may be required by end-users, superiors and/or Management
• Perform other job-related tasks as may be directed by superior and key officers of the company from time to time
• Prepare weekly procurement report.
• Prepare reports as may be required by Management, or ask for reports from other departments/divisions in line with the Procurement Department’s requirements
• Monitor contractual agreements for all vendors.
• Examine and re-evaluate existing contracts.
• Provide recommendations to improve current and new contracts.
• Coordinate closely with project managers / end-users, Legal consultant and vendors to make sure proper compliance and implementation of contracts.
• Monitors and initiate renewal of expiring contracts.
• Prepare weekly contract status report.
• Responsible in the processing and enforcement of vendor accreditation policy and process.
• Ensure to track, measure, report and evaluate vendor performance.
• Troubleshoot all vendor problems and present to management as required.
• Partake to formulate work instructions, processes and policies for applying vendors.
• Prepare processes to manage analysis and selection of vendors.
• Stimulate steady process enhancement to present increasing operational efficiency in entire business partner processes.
• Discover alternative or new vendors and initiate business partnership. Conduct benchmarking and networking.
• Conducts supplier visit, when necessary, in connection with Vendor pre-qualification and accreditation
• Conducts regular meetings with Suppliers to mitigate problems on billing, outstanding accounts and other issues.
• Prepare weekly vendor status report.

• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's/College Degree in Business Studies/Administration/Management or equivalent.
• At least 5 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Preferably Supervisor/5 Yrs & Up Experienced Employee specialized in Purchasing/Inventory/Material & Warehouse Management or equivalent.
