Job Description
The Tier2 Systems Administrator is focused on customer incident response and modification of cloud systems supporting global customers across a broad spectrum of industries and technical environments
Specific Duties
- Remotely resolve complex customer support incidents escalated from the Tier 1 team
- Complete installations, updates and administration for enterprise computer systems
- Implement and update monitoring systems that oversee availability and performance
- Run a variety of command line scripts and use a variety of tools to resolve technical
- issues
- Perform regular security reviews using industry tools
- Provide clear, well-written technical updates to customers in a timely fashion
- Read and understand step-by- step instructions that resolve technical issues and be able
- to execute on those instructions in a rapid fashion
- Seamlessly hand-off incidents between shifts
- Ensure support requests have been fully completed in a timely matter
Minimum Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field
- 3+ years experience or familiarity with supporting mixed (Linux and Windows-based) systems and applications
- Hands-on experience in cloud-based deployments (AWS, Google Compute, Azure)
- Working knowledge of any scripting language
- Experience in automation (Jenkins, Chef, Puppet automation experience a plus)
- Experience with monitoring solutions a plus: Zenoss, Cloudwatch, Nagios, New Relic, Pingdom
- Fluent verbal and written English skills to communicate internally and with international customers
- Self-motivated and can work independently and as a team member
- Flexibility in work schedule including a rotating shift and rotating on-call
- Ongoing desire to learn new technologies
- Ability to work from office in Quezon City area
