Job Description

Job Summary:

Reporting to Senior Management and managing the designated post-production teams, duties and responsibilities include driving performance, efficiency and overseeing the day-to-day operations. In addition, this role provides leadership and management to the handled departments.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Production & Operations

  • Oversees the day-to-day operations of Post-Production teams;
  • Maintains product quality by establishing and enforcing organisation standards;
  • Reviews performance and downtime spreadsheets daily and addresses any red flags with managers and staff. (i.e bad performance, big downtime, bad quality);
  • Maintains a solid understanding of each department's process, systems and products;
  • Analyses and proposes what resources arerequired to ensure smooth operations;
  • Maintains awareness on daily volumes for the handled production team/s;
  • Reminds leaders and/or quality controllers of weekly focus goals;
  • Provides analytical reports and timelines on team production to assist in making effective business decisions;
  • Assists with operations in the absence of a team leader or manager;
  • Addresses concerns for the shift including emergency situations (i.e. power outage, or an employee needing medical assistance, etc.)
  • Works with IT Ph and Syd to help resolve IT problems within handled teams;
  • Ensures all senior management’s directions and workflow instructions are being followed and implemented.

Team Management

  • Provides training and support on initiatives to optimise employee output;
  • Collaborates with other managers to achieve objectives/goals (i.e. downtime, attendance, performance, etc);
  • Ensures compliance to all company procedures by developing a healthy and safe work culture;
  • Collaborates with other managers to develop competent teams of staff through coaching or counseling, performance management and effective communication;
  • Organises meetings to communicate and resolve all issues for production operations, as necessary;
  • Takes action for matters needing urgent decisions;
  • Ensures everyone is productive and no one is misbehaving;
  • Manages staff, prepares work schedules and assigns specific duties;
  • Provides guidance in formulating efficient solutions and processes that will boost productivity of each team;
  • Establishes and implements departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures, as necessary;
  • Determines capacity and staffing requirements for the handled teams;
  • Assists teams in dealing with accounting concerns;

Communication & Liaison

  • Coordinates production shortfalls, equipment problems and employee relation matters to facilitate smooth shift operations;
  • Chairs weekly team meetings or as necessary;

HR Related

  • Conducts interviews, files employee requisition and attends to other tasks for employee recruitment process;
  • Manages and conducts annual salary review processes for post-production staff;
  • Ensures all leaves are filed in the system;
  • Helps in implementing discipline if needed.

Minimum Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management, Business or related field and at least 5-year management experience is required OR;
  • Must have proven experience as Manager/Assistant Manager with no infractions for at least 1 year;
  • Superior process development and project management skills;
  • Proven experience in managing systems and improving workflows in a similar environment;.
