Job Description
- Monthly forecasting of Raw Material costs for Raw Material assignments.
- Gathering of market information for assigned Raw Materials.
- Canvasses prices of items/materials assigned for purchase and evaluate price and quantity offers.
- Evaluates and negotiates price offers from suppliers.
- Generates Purchase orders.
- Prepares necessary purchasing documents.
- Search for cheaper alternative raw materials.
- Coordinate with logistics re-delivery of RMs.
- Monitors quality of raw materials delivered and coordinates with formulation Dept. as necessary.
- Monitors raw material daily inventory report and buying requirement of RMs assigned.
- Prepares monthly purchasing report.
- Facilitates accreditation and evaluation of suppliers.
- Supervises Junior Buyer and Logistics Coordinator.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned.
- Supervises implementation and ensures compliance with all quality systems being implemented by the company i.e. HACCP, GMP, ISO
Minimum Qualifications
- College Graduate.
- Experience in the feeds and agriculture industry highly preferred.
- Ability to communicate with individuals on all levels.
- Has initiative
- Customer oriented, cost oriented
- Good communication skills
- Computer literate.
