IT Head  

• Foster a business-oriented culture and mindset driven by continual service improvement techniques to achieve marketing and sales business goals and objectives.
• Manage a team of Software Developers, Network Administrators, and System administrators to plan, analyze, design, implement, and maintain business applications and productivity technologies.
• Help define strategy and architecture.
  • Provide necessary guidance and support to meet business targets related to the marketing technology stack.
• Build and maintain relationships with other IT leaders to develop a clear understanding of business needs.
  • Ensure cost-effective solutions are in place to meet those needs.
  • Respond with agility to changing business priorities.
• Be a strategic leader for marketing technologies to collaborate with other business and IT functional areas to guide and enable enterprise tactics.
• Manage a portfolio of development and support efforts to deliver needed functionality within budgets and timelines.
• Leverage influencing and negotiation skills across IT and the enterprise to enable cost-effective and innovative shared solutions in achievement of business goals.
  • Participate in the assessment of external and internal capabilities required to achieve desired business goals.
• Develop employees and monitor team effectiveness to achieve timely desired results.
• Manage initiatives by leveraging software architects and best practices in new system development efforts across Marketing and Sales business divisions.
• Maintain currency on new technologies and platforms.
  • Provide direction on what emerging technologies should be introduced, integrated, and assimilated with the enterprise.
• Understand, enforce, and monitor best practices within their IT efforts – including ITIL, SDLC, change management, quality management and SOX and PCI compliance.
  • Understand business context to decisions made within and across groups.
• Engage and advise top management and key business stakeholders and align the team’s efforts to business goals and priorities.
• Provide senior level resolution to internal client issues.
• Champion change and effectively manage the implementation of new ideas.

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related field.
  • Advanced degree is a plus.
• At least 14 years of:
  • Progressive managerial experience in software development, systems architecture, project management, and systems support.
  • Experience leading teams of IT professionals.
• At least 2 years of:
  • Budgetary responsibility.
  • IT experience in the retail industry.
• Knowledge of and experience with ecommerce, mobile platforms, marketing automation, and CMS.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment.
• Demonstrated experience with:
  • Project management methodologies.
  • Managing vendor contracts and bidding process.
  • Presenting to business stakeholders and senior IT management on a regular basi
• Proven project management skills.
• Effective leadership and influence skills.
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple complex projects.
• Ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward project completion.
