Job Description
The Employee Relations and Engagement Officer is responsible for the timely and legally sound resolving of employee related cases, pursuant to the due process and twin notice rule. The position will be involved with the different DOLE related activities such as inspection, compliance, and reports. The position will also co-manage and direct all employee engagement programs for head office and store-based/operations employees.
Expectations
He/she should expect the following work scope. Take note that the list is not exhaustive:
1. Familiarity of the “twin notice rule” and the due process in handling administrative cases.
2. He/she must be able to discern relevant facts of the case and check the correctness of the reports and pieces of evidence.
3. The Officer will be exposed to the entire due process of case resolution; from NTE to NOD and filing. Thus, he/she should ensure the proper safekeeping and maintains a complete documentation of the of resolved cases.
4. As needed, assist the department in attending to DOLE inspection inquiries, collation of compliance documents, and internal compliance check-up.
5. Assist the Human Capital Management (HCM) department in developing and maintaining a holistic and desirable work environment.
6. He/she will also work closely with numerous point persons of each department to gather information to be used in drafting employee engagement initiatives. Likewise, with external parties or vendors such as financial speakers, corporate representatives for partnership for gifts and discounts, etc.
7. The Officer will conduct Focus Group Discussions (FGD) or store visit to know the pulse of the employees.
8. He/she will co-manage and direct the crafting of employee engagement survey results, analyze the pieces of information.
9. He/she will be one of the spearheads to design and implement employee engagement activities based on the surveys, FGDs, and other mechanism the HCM will use as basis.
Minimum Qualifications
1. Familiarity of the important labor laws (due process, Book 6, Title 1 of the Labor Code,
reportorial)
2. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
3. OSH law (compliance)
4. Advance Data analysis
5. High level of confidentiality
6. Intermediate events planning skills
7. Basic research skills
