About the Role
The Principal Solutions Architect Leads the Dedicated Tech Solution Architecture Unit within the CTO organization.
How you'll contribute
- The Principal Solutions Architect is responsible for overseeing a team of architects and engineers to ensure the adaptation and implementation of SBC's enterprise architecture guardrails to the dedicated Tech Solutions architecture.
- She/He develops the dedicated Tech Solutions architecture roadmap and target state and oversees technical capabilities across the dedicated Tech Solutions unit.
- She/He is the contact point for all dedicated Tech Solution Architecture-related activities and projects that require the services of the team and is responsible for ensuring that SLAs are met by the team members.
- She/He will coach, develop, mentor, and lead the team to enhance their capabilities and fulfill the responsibilities in accordance with the Bank's overall business and technology objectives
Minimum Qualifications
What we are looking for
- Years of experience: 8-10 years of experience as a solution architect or equivalent role, with at least 3-5 years of experience leading teams of engineers and solution architects.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master's degree or higher is preferred.
- Strong understanding of architecture frameworks, methodologies and patterns
- Strong understanding of cloud computing, microservices, and containerization
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies and practices (e.g. Agile, Scrum, DevOps)
- Strong experience in building and maintaining complex systems
- Strong experience in leading teams, mentoring and coaching
- Strong experience in defining, implementing and enforcing architecture governance
- Strong experience in engaging with senior stakeholders and presenting complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner
- Strong experience in driving design and architectural decisions
- Knowledge of enterprise integration patterns and technologies
- Knowledge of modern web development frameworks, technologies and languages
- Knowledge of security and compliance requirements
- Knowledge of service-oriented and event-driven architectures
- Knowledge of infrastructure and network technologies
