Job Description
- The Finance Manager shall work closely with the Philippine office's Finance Head and the Regional Office's Finance Director
- He/She shall ensure smooth day-to-day operation of the Accounting and Finance team -- including functions such as general accounting, treasury, taxation, etc. Should dive in on basic accounting tasks should the need calls for it
- He/She shall manage the Accounting and Finance team's workload and ensure team's compliance with deadlines
- He/She shall create or improve the company's accounting and finance policies and controls, and ensure compliance among all employees to these policies.
- He/She shall oversee AR collections
- He/She shall manage company spendings. Control over all spend by guiding Unit Heads on expenses and minimizing excessive spendings
- He/She shall regularly prepare financial and business reports and submit the same to the Country Head and COO. Provide financial analysis to management.
- Manage relationships with clients' finance teams and professional service vendors such as Banks and Auditors
- Lead the annual audit process, prepare monthly VAT/WHT/CIT submission and handle local tax matters, ensuring timely submission to local authorities
- Perform any other ad hoc assignments by management and HQ
Minimum Qualifications
Team management and development
- Must have had experience recruiting finance team members, monitoring and evaluating their performance, and training the team for performance gaps
In depth knowledge in accounting and finance operations in the PH
- Must have a broad and in-depth technical knowledge of accounting AP/AR, forecasting and budgetting, cashflow, audit, and taxation protocols and practices
- Willing to handle the task himself/herself when the need calls for it.
Communication Skills
- Articulate; Able to explain technical finance or business concepts in a manner understable by the general public
- Written and spoken fluency in English and the local language
Tech Savvy
- Proficient user of the latest accounting softwares and other online business tools such as Google Drive and Google Apps, Slack, Skype, Asana, Taskworld, Trello, or other similar platforms
