Associate General Counsel | Contracts and Commercial Transactions  

The Associate General Counsel - Contracts and Commercial Transactions shall provide legal support on the commercial transactions and special projects of the Aboitiz Group.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Contracts Management

Handles the drafting and review of contracts and other legal documents as may be requested by the Aboitiz Group Business Units (BU), to ensure that the Group is protected from potential liabilities or that such liabilities are within industry parameters or existing limits set by the BU’s management

Project Management

Acts as the Legal Team’s Point of Contact for the Group’s special projects, which may or may not require working with a Cross-Functional Team, drafts and reviews transaction documents, and provides legal assistance to the commercial team that handles the projects

Knowledge Development and Sharing

Contributes to the Group’s legal knowledge center to ensure that the BUs are updated on current legal trends and developments, and coordinates with the relevant BU representatives on the timely dissemination of legal updates affecting the BUs

Team Initiatives and Execution

Handles or supervises the execution of team initiatives as may be assigned by the Team Leader

• Must possess a law degree; a member of good standing of the Philippine Bar
• Minimum of 3 years of professional legal experience in a reputable law firm or in-house counsel environment
