The position holder is responsible for applying/ renewing permits before national government offices such as, but not limited to, the Department of Energy (DOE), Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC), Board of Investments (BOI), and National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP). Land Acquisition and Conversion Manager

The position holder is responsible for planning, managing, and implementing the day-to-day processes related to acquiring various permits, lands, and rights of way for power and storage projects, getting approvals and endorsements from LGUs, and National Government Agencies in order to achieve the land acquisition and conversion objectives of ARI.

About the Role 

A. Data Privacy Compliance as Core/Primary Function

<ul>
	<li>Collect information to identify the processing operations, activities, programs, or systems of the Company, and maintain records thereof</li>
	<li>Analyze and check the compliance of processing activities, including the issuance of security clearances</li>
	<li>Inform, advise, and issue recommendations including the necessity of executing Data Sharing Agreement with third parties</li>

	<li>Ensures the timely preparation, filing, processing and acquisition of permits and approvals during the Pre Development, Development and Execution Stage of ARI Renewable Projects.

		<li>Requirements may come from, but not limited to, the following agencies: DOE, ERC, BOI, PSALM, Transco, NPC, PEMC/IEMOP/WESM, RE Market, NGCP, and other energy industry related stakeholders and interested persons. </li>
		<li>Such requirements may also be required from relevant regulations such as the EPIRA, RE Law, and other related power industry regulations.</li>

	</li>
	<li>Ensures timely, complete and correct documentation of compliance requirements falling within SRC Regulatory team’s scope of work as may be necessary for ARI PDE activities and for proper handover to Operating BU.</li>
	<li>Timely reports progress of permitting processes to the top management and other concerned ARI personnel.

What you'll do

<ul>
	<li>Drafts and/or reviews various corporate legal forms, such as secretary's certificates, board resolutions, affidavits, certifications, deed of sale, special powers of attorney, release, waiver and quitclaims etc.;</li>

Under the supervision of the Director of the University Legal and Compliance Office (ULCO), the Senior University Legal Counsel shall be responsible for providing legal and compliance support specifically to the assigned unit (with supplementary support to other units) in order to mitigate legal risks and ensure legal compliance.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

		<li>Draft and recommend policies, programs, and protocols to manage the legal and compliance risks of the assigned units</li>
		<li>Provide guidance to the University in effecting policy changes in the assigned unit that may impact other units of the University</li>
		<li>Provide input to the Internal Audit and Financial Risk Management Office and to the President on the regulatory and compliance aspects of the assigned unit’s operations</li>
