Content Production Lead  

Zenius Education is the pioneer for Education Technology (EdTech) in Indonesia since 2004, founded by teachers passionate about learning, problem-solving, and establishing strong foundations on scientific thinking. From our early beginnings releasing CDs and DVDs, to launching a website in 2010, we developed a strong following for our educational content through our teaching methods.

We have now released our powerful content library of more than 74,000 videos into our mobile app in June 2019, and the company has just received seed funding from investors. We are about to embark on a hyper-growth phase to accelerate great learning outcomes for K-12 students in Indonesia.

We are looking for a Head of Content Production who is passionate about combining education and technology, with at least 5 years of experience in a Content Production position at a large company, preferably in a media or digital company. This is a key role with responsibility for creating and leading a production department whose products are displayed across platforms. With productions ranging from daily learning to deeply insightful knowledge for students, the Head of Content Production is expected to bring Great Learning Experience into a video-format using small-to-medium-sized studios.

What You Will be Doing:

• Report directly to the Education Program Manager, with a high level of autonomy over creative directions as long as it fits the grand business strategy while making sure all priorities are communicated clearly.
• To create a clear vision for the production team and inspire others to deliver against the vision.
• Provide editorial leadership to production teams, and to play a key role in contributing to and developing content strategies.
• Responsible for management of the total production team budget, with the freedom to adjust financial priories in light of changing business needs
• Responsible for building a creative and competitive production team working across all platforms, conducive to an innovative environment for content making.
• Coordinate with all related departments (especially within Content Team) to make sure all operations are aligned and running smoothly according to the timeline.
• Ensure all programs/content are delivered on time and within budget, encouraging the highest possible creative standards throughout.

Who Is Our Ideal Candidate:

• 5+ years of experience in a content-production position within a tight timelines
• Demonstrable passion for creating content to the appropriate audience, and knowledge of those subjects which inform, educate & entertain the audience.
• Strong track record of delivering high-quality content with a passion for media, education, science and an understanding of audience trends
• Able to create a clear editorial vision for the lifecycle of content across all platforms.
• Strong experience of developing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external partners
• Effective planning and organizing skills. Ability to concentrate on several areas of work at one time, prioritizing, delivering consistently to deadlines and reacting positively to changes and conflicting priorities.
• Ensuring teams works within deadlines and supported sufficiently to deliver their best work for the Company.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written - an excellent communicator, able to communicate and build rapport effectively with all members of the organization, while also able to communicate technical terms understandable for everyone.
