- Develop and execute a strategic plan for the assigned product category, in alignment with overall business objectives and customer needs.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends, customer preferences, and areas of opportunity within the category.
- Manage the product assortment and pricing strategy for the category (1P and 3P), working closely with suppliers, sales teams, and other stakeholders to ensure a profitable and competitive product offering.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, operations, and IT, to develop and implement category-specific initiatives, such as promotions, campaigns, and merchandising.
- Analyze sales data and other performance metrics to measure category performance, identify areas of improvement, and optimize pricing, promotions, and inventory levels.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and conditions, and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Identify new suppliers and product opportunities within the category, using various channels such as trade shows, online directories, and industry publications.
- Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape, and provide regular updates to senior management and other stakeholders on category performance and market developments.
- Develop and maintain category-specific content, including product descriptions, images, and specifications, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Work with IT and other stakeholders to ensure that the category is properly represented on the company's B2B ecommerce platform, including navigation, search, and filtering capabilities.
- A bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or related field
- 4 years experience in Category Management | Computers, Appliances & Electronics or similar role
- Solid knowledge of category management, marketing and sales principles
- Excellent communication, negotiation & interpersonal skills
- Well connected to big players within the industry
