Duties include but are not limited to:

• Completes payments and controls expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices
• Help with 1099 preparation and collecting W9s
• Reconciles processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
• Charges expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports; recording entries
• Pays vendors by monitoring discount opportunities, verifying federal id numbers, scheduling and preparing checks, and resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation
• Ensures credit is received for outstanding memos
• Maintains accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions
• Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions
• Maintains historical records by microfilming and filing documents
• Disburses petty cash by recording entry and verifying documentation
• Reports sales taxes by calculating requirements on paid invoices
• Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
• Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed
• Maintain general ledger accounts and preparation of journal entries for accruals and variances

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and more than 5 years of experience in finance or accounting or a related area

CPA with Big 4 experience is a plus

General knowledge of accounting/financial/operational principles

Knowledge and experience in using MS Dynamics is required

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with all levels throughout Company organization

Extensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP is a plus

Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with various management levels

Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a changing, fast-paced environment

Strong Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills

Superior attention to detail and ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities while maintaining a view of the big picture

Strong organizational and time management skills

System requirements:

Computer Processor: At least i5 5th generation for both primary and back up computers

Computer Memory/RAM: At least 8.00 GB for both primary and back up computers

Computer OS: Windows 10 or 11

Extra monitor

Computer must have a licensed MS Office installed

Internet speed must be running on a 20+ Mbps wired plan (at least 10 Mbps for back up connection)
