Purpose
The Program Manager will handle a critical role in overseeing all strategic and cross-functional projects across the entire organization. This position will report directly to the Manager of Corporate Planning and Program Management (CPPM) and co-supervise CPPM’s Trainees. This position will also have a close working relationship with the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and other Senior Management of TGI and its subsidiaries.
Duties and Responsibilities
Program Management
- Spearhead and oversee CPPM governance processes to ensure priority projects align with the company's strategic objectives and ExCom's vision.
- Review and evaluate project business cases, ensuring they resonate with the CPPM Standards and ExCom's strategic direction.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure adherence to CPPM best practices in project planning, including Project Charters, Scopes, timelines, and resource allocations.
- Champion risk governance by identifying potential risks and collaborating with project teams to establish mitigation strategies.
- Lead governance-driven stakeholder engagement to promote clarity in roles, responsibilities, and deliverables.
- Serve as the PMO governance advisor, providing guidance and recommendations to project teams, ensuring alignment with best practices and standards.
- Monitor project budgets and schedules within the CPPM Standards, ensuring adherence and consistency.
- Oversee resolution mechanisms for challenges and obstacles, emphasizing minimal disruption and governance adherence.
- Coordinate governance-driven meetings with project leaders, fostering collaboration, and ensuring projects remain within the governance framework.
- Regularly report on project statuses within the governance purview to the Manager of CPPM and ExCom, ensuring transparency and alignment.
- Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the CPPM Database, ensuring it reflects real-time project statuses.
Benefit Realization
- Direct and spearhead a comprehensive assessment to determine if the anticipated benefits of a project are being realized post-implementation.
- Systematically review and evaluate the state of adoption or integration of completed projects, ensuring they align with the company's strategic and operational goals.
- Craft and present a detailed benefit realization report to the head of CPPM and ExCom, emphasizing the tangible and intangible benefits, challenges, and recommendations for future projects.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimun Education
- Degree in IT, Business, Industrial or Management Engineering
Minimum Experience / Training
- At least four years of practical experience in project management
- Preferably with a strong background on PMI and Agile framework
- Preferably with an advanced degree in management or professional certifications such as PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or CBAP
