Senior Software Engineer  

I. Job Description

• Guide the development team during the software development lifecycle.
• Reports to the Group Lead.
• Performs other related duties and work beyond business hours as required.
• Adheres to all company policies, processes, and business ethic codes.

II. Duties and Responsibilities

• Participate during design review.
• Plan work and create tasks based on the derived software design.
• Generate development timelines and organize tasks into sprints based on dependency and priority.
• Solid analysis, design, and decision-making skills – ability to plan modules and components.
• Work with Solution Architect on BOM and SOW Creation.
• Translate High-Level Design Documents to Low Level / Technical Design Documents, adhering to design standards and best practices.
• Participate during sprint planning, daily stand-up meetings and sprint review.
• Write well-designed, testable, scalable, efficient code with adherence to coding standards, security standards and best practices.
• Write unit and UI tests to detect and identify bugs.
• Supports and develops software developers by providing advice, coaching, and guiding the team on Software Development Methodologies, coding standards, security standards and best practices.
• Handles and delegates reported bug on developed software’s for resolution.
• Conducts code review / analysis and provide guidance and / or recommendations.
• Expected to undergo training and certifications to technologies not limited to the products being used and/or supported by the team but will aid in the tasks of software development.
• Maintain and improve developed products to ensure compliance with the latest required technologies such as but not limited to operating systems, databases, etc.
• Perform similar duties aligned with the proper execution of roles and responsibilities assigned.

III. Qualifications

A. Minimum Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or any other related field
• (And/Or) An equivalent of the same in working experience

B. Minimum Experience/Training

• At least 5 years solid working experience as a full stack developer.
• With at least 2 year working experience in a DevSecOps environment.
• With at least 3 year working experience in leading a software development team.
• Experienced in using GitLab and / or GitHub.
• Experienced in microservices architecture, development, and deployment.
• Experienced in cloud solution architecture, development, and deployment.
• Trained or experienced in administering and/or managing Windows Servers and/or RHEL.
• UI/UX background is a plus.

C. Competency

• Distinctive problem-solving and analytical skills combined with effective communication skills.
• Well-versed in HTML5, CSS, Javascript, NodeJS, React, Python and Django.
• Well-versed with containerization using Docker.
• In-depth knowledge with microservices architecture, development, and deployment.
• Knowledgeable in mobile development using either Swift, Kotlin, React Native and/or Firebase.
• Knowledgeable in either MSSQL, Postgre, MySQL and/or NoSQL technologies such as MongoDB and/or Firestore.
• Have a strong technical ability, that can analyze existing code, and determine functionality.
