Excellence in Reading. Confidence in Filipino. THE LEARNING LIBRARY aims to develop the love of reading and learning in children. Its centers offer English and Filipino programs that help improve comprehension and make learning enjoyable. By developing fundamental skills though literature, we advance independent learning critical to academic success. THE LEARNING LIBRARY offers 2 programs: THE READING ADVANTAGE for Reading, and WIKA’y GALING! for Filipino. These involve both implicit instruction (through modeling love of reading and reading fluency) and explicit instruction (language learning and reading strategies). All programs use motivational tools to encourage children to read more and express themselves better. Its company-owned branches in Quezon City, Makati and Alabang are operated by The Learning Library Education Cooperative -- teachers committed to using expertise and experience to help improve the quality of Philippine education. Aside from year-round enrichment programs, it offers literacy program development and consultancy to help partners achieve their social responsibility goals: - Remedial and supplementary reading programs - Literature-based curriculum development - Training for teachers and community developers - Reading material development - Library rehabilitation and management Its website is www.learninglibraries.com.
