Business Development Lead | Non-Pension Business

Job Description

Summary:

  • Initiates new programs for existing products to ensure portfolio growth and quality.
  • Leads/ co-manages cross-functional teams for other business development projects ensuring that all product/ policy/ process requirements are met during the product development phase.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Salary Loan Product Development and Business Management
    • Initiates initiatives for Salary Loans to achieve envisioned value proposition and product profitability
      • Reviews current product features (e.g. pricing structures, internal processes) and processes and drives appropriate revisions to maximize returns/ operational efficiency for existing products
      • Pushes for constant system improvements to ensure that tech-based value proposition of Salary Loans is constantly enhanced
    • Executes partnerships to produce value-added features and services for the Salary Loan product
  • B.New Business Development
    • Develops business cases for a new loan and non-loan products to expand the Company’s non-pension business
      • Develops client needs analysis, market research, and competitive scan.
      • Presents findings to and consults with senior management with a view to developing new services, products, and distribution channels.
      • Secures approval from senior management and the Board of Directors to execute business plans
    • Facilitates cross-functional project team meetings during the development stage until project implementation.
      • Coordinates with key stakeholders/ partners (internal departments / external partners) and monitors timetables for activities / accountabilities.
      • Ensures that stakeholders are kept informed of all activities/ project status.
  • Leads the development of the product process.
    • Convenes or consults with subject matter experts to ensure that important policy provisions and processes are covered.
    • Determines product features, credit risk criteria, and other operational processes to come up with a comprehensive product manual.
  • Executes business plans developed thru the launch new loan and non-loan products and value-added services
    • Ensures availability of resources, either direct or allocated, for proper business plan implementation
    • Monitors the performance of new products and new branches and provides management with progress reports to aid in subsequent business/operational decisions.
  • Others
    • Perform other duties outside of the current scope in support of evolving business needs.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing or business administration or the equivalent number of years of experience
  • MBA or other related further study is a plus
  • At least 5 to 7 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Preferably Assistant Manager/Manager specialized in Finance - Corporate Finance/Investment/Merchant Banking or equivalent.
  • Considerable experience in Product Development in Banking and Finance or its equivalent
  • Experienced in research and insight development techniques
  • Strong organizational and project management skills to handle simultaneous projects and tasks
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills to interpret performance and market information.
  • Solid computer skills, including MS Office, marketing software and applications
  • Exceptional communication skills. Possesses strong writing skills to be able to create content for presentations and product manuals.
